As much as we hate to see summer winding down, there’s something special about the fresh start that comes with back-to-school season. New notebooks, clean lunchboxes, sharpened pencils—and the hopeful energy of a new routine just around the corner.
Here at Amelia Print + Design, we’re soaking in these last golden weeks of summer while helping families, teachers, and local organizations gear up for the school year ahead.
🏕️ Our Summer Adventures
Our family’s summer has been full—in the very best way. We hit the road on a big adventure out West, exploring the awe-inspiring landscapes of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. From geysers and bison sightings to hiking mountain trails, it was a trip we’ll never forget.
We also squeezed in a few camping weekends, quality time with loved ones, lots of family fun, rides and food at the Amelia County Fair, and plenty of evenings under the stars. And this month, we’re gearing up for another milestone: our son is headed off to his very first sleepaway camp! It’s been a summer of new experiences, memory-making, and recharging before the school-year hustle begins.

Tips to Make Back-to-School Easier
We know this season can feel chaotic, especially for busy moms, dads, and guardians juggling all the things. Here are a few of our favorite ways to ease the transition and keep things running smoothly:
Start prepping now – Ease into earlier bedtimes, review the school calendar, and map out transportation plans ahead of time. Start buying a few school supplies on your weekly grocery outings or shopping trips, and check out any Amazon deals that might be happening and stock-up!
Create a launchpad – Designate a spot near the door for backpacks, shoes, and lunchboxes to reduce morning chaos. Add a calendar with important dates, appointments, school breaks and anything that helps keep you and your kiddos organized.
Check what you already have – You might be surprised how many supplies are already in that closet or drawer! We keep a tote of extra supplies and when the new school year rolls around we take stock of what we have and then make a list of anything left that we need to purchase before the first day of school. I also find it helpful to keep extras to replenish throughout the year!
Shop smart + small – Support local when you can, and don't forget about us for custom school items, teacher gifts, or personalized supplies.
