In a small town, running a business isn’t just about the bottom line, it’s about building community, forming real relationships, and supporting the people around you. At Amelia Print + Design, we’ve seen how powerful it can be when local businesses work together. Whether it’s sharing resources, promoting each other, or swapping skills, collaboration helps us all grow, not just as businesses, but as neighbors.

That’s why we’re launching a special blog series focused on practical, real-world ways small businesses in Amelia (and beyond!) can support each other. Over the next several weeks, we’ll take a closer look at key areas where collaboration can make a meaningful impact:

  • Cross-Promotion Ideas – From co-hosting events to bundling products, we’ll share creative ways to team up and attract more customers.

  • Sharing Resources + Vendors – Save time and money by combining orders, pooling supplies, and leaning on each other’s trusted contacts.

  • Skill Swaps – Trade what you’re good at for what you need, from social media to bookkeeping to booth setup and more.

  • Supporting Publicly + Genuinely – Easy, free ways to uplift each other on social media and in day-to-day conversations.

  • Building Community, Not Competition – How embracing your niche and cheering for your peers helps everyone thrive.

Local Events Calendar

We’ll also spotlight local events like the Windsor Lavender Farm Harvest Festival (October 11), Oktoberfest at Books & Beans (October 18, 8–12pm), the Southside Spirits & Music Festival presented by the Amelia Lions Club (October 18, 1:30pm), and the Amelia Harvest Festival hosted by the Amelia Tractor Club (November 8), all of which are fantastic opportunities for small businesses to collaborate, co-promote, and connect with the community.

We’re working on creating a free downloadable calendar of upcoming vendor markets and festivals to help local businesses plan ahead, whether you want to attend, partner up, or apply to be a vendor.

Know of an event we should add? Send us a message or tag us on social, we’d love to include it! The more we share, the more we grow.

Is there a topic you’d like us to explore more deeply? Want to be featured or share your own story of collaboration?

We’d love to hear from you! Send us a message, drop a comment, or reach out via email or social media.

We hope this series inspires new ideas, connections, and conversations within our local business community. Let’s make this fall a season of working together, lifting each other up, and growing something great together.
